Qualifications

• BLS certification (AHA) within 30 days.
• Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate, and efficient performance.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient entering the room.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up case to enable an organized back table and mayo.
• Mentor RNs and other staff; precept technologists and students.
• Contribute to case turnover with dressing application and transfer.
• Anticipate intra-op needs and adapt to case changes; manage unexpected events.
• Available for on-call hours including after-hours, weekends and holidays.
