Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timeliness and efficiency
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient entry
• Assist with case setup and instrument/mayo planning for organized turnover
• Precept surgical techs and RNs; run Mayo tray independently as needed
• Anticipate intra-op events and respond to surgeon preferences
• Mentor staff and students in planning for surgical events
• Be available for on-call hours outside scheduled work hours, including weekends and holidays
