Job summary

Bryan College Of Health Sciences is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. The role involves assisting the perioperative nurse, preparing and maintaining instruments, and ensuring procedures are performed safely with aseptic technique.

You will pass instruments, help with patient positioning, and support ongoing quality and safety efforts. The position requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program or certification, and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or certification required.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist desired.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the perioperative nurse with patient care in the OR and LDR.
• Prepare and maintain supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Pass surgical instruments safely during operations.
• Count and prep surgical instruments and supplies.
• Deliver medications to the OR using case cart or medication cart.
• Assist with applying skin staples/skin sealant as credentialed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and infection control throughout the case.
• Support staff education and safety initiatives in the OR.
