University of California, Irvine Health is seeking a Sr. Surgical Tech to join our operating room team. The role involves assisting with direct patient care during procedures, preparing and stocking the OR, and maintaining sterile technique to maximize safety.

You will help orient new staff and participate in departmental committees. Applicants with two years of experience may be considered as Sr. Surgical Tech with a pay range of $36.73-$45.67 per hour.

Formación

• Two years of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in multiple specialties in an acute care facility.
• Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology.
• BLS Required.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with direct patient care activities during medical procedures.
• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery, gathering and organizing clean and sterile supplies.
• Set sterile instrument fields; maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and participate on departmental committees.
