Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking a Surgical Technician to manage instrumentation and supplies for the operating room, under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and the Clinical Nurse Manager. The role requires attention to detail and effective communication with the surgical team.

You will work closely with physicians, circulating nurses, and other staff to maintain a safe, efficient environment for patients across all ages—from newborns to older adults.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current BLS certification
• One years experience as a surgical technician and/or Certification

Responsibilities

• Assists with instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Ensures effective communication with physician, circulating nurse, patient and staff.
• Supports patient populations from child to older adult.
