Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to manage instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures under supervision of the Director of Surgical Services. You will coordinate with the physician, circulating nurse, patient and staff to uphold a safe, patient-centered OR environment.

Role supports care for patients from birth through older adults, requiring good communication and teamwork, current BLS, and at least one year of surgical tech experience or relevant certification.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a surgical technician and/or certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace and collaborate with the health system staff.

Responsibilities

• Instrumentation and supplies preparation for surgical procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the physician, circulating nurse, patient and team.
• Assist with care for patients across birth to older adulthood.
