Job summary

Nomura Holdings, Inc. in New York is seeking a Senior Support Analyst – Contractor to join the Technology team. The role focuses on incident and problem management, application support, and ensuring service availability for global users.

Reporting into the Americas lead for Post Execution Services Technology, you will handle a high-velocity support workflow, collaborate with regional teams, and participate in weekend/holiday coverage on a rotation basis.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and scripting (Shell/Perl/Python).
• Hands-on support experience with Databases: Sybase/SQL Server/Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of Autosys job scheduling.
• Experience in IT Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Experience in change deployment execution and DR tests.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol is a plus.
• Ability to present technical information clearly to users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact for all support queries and incidents; ownership through to resolution.
• Possess basic functional knowledge of Trade processing, Settlements, Middle Office.
• Review service availability, performance and stability; identify trends and take action.
• Collaborate with regional/global team members & users to resolve issues.
• Establish strong relationships between Production Services, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure software/hardware changes do not impact service levels.
• Demonstrate teamwork with flexibility and adaptability.
• Perform weekend & holiday support on a rotational basis.
