Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Prime Production Services Analyst in New York to support Prime Brokerage technologies for Equity Finance, Cash and Synthetic PB. This role provides 1st/2nd line support for core PB systems, spanning from booking to reporting, in a 24x5 follow-the-sun model.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL, Linux scripting, and experience with Autosys and Windows Server, plus AI tooling and stakeholder management. Collaboration with global teams and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of application support in a banking environment.
• Strong Prime Brokerage business knowledge, or willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills, and confidence dealing with internal and external parties.
• Experience of managing stakeholder expectations.
• Experience working with AI tools (including creating new functionality) in a banking environment.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Strong experience of working with Linux based applications - ability to write scripts and work on automation.
• Experience with job scheduling systems (ideally Autosys).
• Experience of working in a Windows Server environment would be highly beneficial.
• Java and Git experience would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle user and client queries - often requiring in-depth analysis of technical and business logic of PB systems.
• Setup and management of client connectivity (API and FTP based) to clients and vendors.
• Batch and system management.
• Identify and manage problems and drive continuous improvement to the platform and processes, including via AI.
