Job summary

Sargent Aerospace in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced.Supplier Quality Engineer III (Senior) to lead supplier quality initiatives onsite and drive continuous improvement across Aerospace & Defense and Marine units.

You will partner with suppliers, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to manage risk, improve capability, and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001. Occasional domestic/international travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of supplier quality, quality, manufacturing, or engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading supplier audits, supplier corrective action programs, and supplier development initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and related regulatory requirements; ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, approval, surveillance, audits, and performance management for strategic suppliers.
• Lead investigations of supplier escapes, major nonconformances, customer complaints, and field failures with 8D/5Why or DMAIC methodologies.
• Develop and execute supplier improvement plans focused on quality, delivery, process capability, and system maturity.
• Mentor junior Quality Engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supplier selection, transfers, and NPI.
