RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Supplier Assurance Specialist to drive end-to-end supplier performance and quality. This remote role requires travel to supplier sites and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, supplier quality, or related roles.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, capability analysis, GD&T, FAI, APQP, and ISO quality standards.

Responsabilités

• End-to-end evaluation of supplier manufacturing performance via onsite diagnostics of processes, equipment, tooling, flow and quality systems.
• Conduct readiness and capability assessments including FAI reviews, PFMEA audits, SPC capability checks, cycle-time validation and bottleneck analysis.
• Perform technical troubleshooting to identify root causes of quality escapes and production instability.
• Maintain supplier readiness docs, capability data, RCCA evidence, and capacity models.
• Assist with corrective and preventive actions using 8D, 5-Why and fishbone analysis.
• Coach supplier operators and quality personnel to reinforce process discipline and standard work.
• Provide updates on yield, stability, bottlenecks and schedule risk in reviews.
• Support early performance plans and help suppliers adopt improved work practices.
• Escalate technical issues and risks, integrating operational and financial indicators.
• Understand and follow EXIM requirements by Command Media.
• Travel up to 50% to supplier locations as needed.
