RTX seeks a Manager in Supplier Quality & Development to lead supplier performance and continuous improvement for critical commodities. The role emphasizes audits, onboarding, and capability assessments to ensure readiness for production changes.

Remote, U.S.-based with preference for Mountain/Pacific time zones. Requires U.S. citizenship and strong QA tool proficiency to drive corrective actions and PPAP readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 8+ years in supply chain, manufacturing or supplier quality.
• Advanced degree with 5+ years experience in related field.
• Experience leading audits, supplier qualification and capability evaluations.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality systems.

Responsabilités

• Own supplier quality performance across assigned commodities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and certification activities, including audits and capability evaluations.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive proactive improvements.
• Lead/root-cause analysis for supplier quality issues (8D, Red-X).
• Manage nonconforming material and escape processes with suppliers.
• Support source inspections, material release, and work transfers for production readiness.
• Promote PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA to strengthen processes.
• Lead supplier-facing forums to ensure accountability and progress.
• Ensure PPAP readiness and associated contractual quality requirements.
• Travel up to 30% as needed.
