Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of products from suppliers. This remote role involves collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to meet standards, drive improvements, and mitigate risk, with up to 50% travel for assessments and audits.

The position requires a STEM degree with extensive experience in quality engineering in aerospace or DoD contexts, plus the ability to obtain interim security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in engineering quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, QFD, or similar tools.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, and/or MDA provisions.
• Ability to obtain interim DoD clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality performance of MEI suppliers with onsite engagement.
• Communicate requirements to suppliers viaPOs, quality notes, and SOWs.
• Conduct source surveillance, inspections, CAPA reviews, and risk assessments.
• Apply APQP to improve supplier and manufacturing processes.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in design reviews, process changes, and test reviews.
• Review supplier manufacturing instructions for risk mitigation.
• Represent RTX in program and supplier reviews and tech meetings.
• Report supplier quality status to leadership and customers.
