Job summary

Saab is seeking a Supplier Program Manager to lead strategic management of critical suppliers and material deliveries in the U.S. government and defense context from Saab’s Syracuse, NY operations.

You will coordinate POs, schedules, and deliveries, track on-time metrics and risks, and develop forecasts to support timely revenue recognition. Strong ERP and contracting experience required; US citizenship and security readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required with 10+ years of exp or MBA/MS/JD with 8+ years.
• Experience with U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts preferred.
• Procurement process knowledge: sourcing, supplier qualification, orders, expediting.
• Experience navigating ERP systems and contracting methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic management of multiple suppliers and material deliveries.
• Coordinate weekly telecoms to review POs, schedules, and deliveries.
• Track and report on supplier on-time delivery and risks.
• Develop and update material forecasts for revenue recognition.
• Provide weekly updates to Supply Chain leadership on milestones and risks.
• Contribute cost and labor inputs for proposals and pricing.
• Lead QBRs covering supplier performance on quality, cost, and deliveries.
• Resolve technical and programmatic supplier issues.
• Assist with metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
