Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 3 in Ohio to plan, manage and execute on all aspects of assigned projects with moderate complexity. You will lead the team, plan construction sequencing and ensure timely, profitable completion in line with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery, with responsibility for coordinating subcontractors, staff, and project controls. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a degree in CM/engineering preferred.
• 8+ years construction experience with 5+ years field supervision.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred; strong communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture on site; mentors staff and ensures injury-free operations.
• Manages subcontractors, staff, and overall workflow for the project.
• Oversees safety, quality, and EEO programs on small to large projects.
• Develops work plans, coordinates site care and control, and runs meetings.
• Creates and updates project schedules with the Project Manager.
• Tracks costs, budgets, and procurement; ensures accurate reporting.
• Communicates project status to owners, design team, and vendors.
• Prepares and reviews daily/weekly reports and logs; manages closeouts.
• Supports pursuit, pre-plans, and risk management; maintains relationships with clients.
• Leads field staffing decisions and coordinates with leadership for project changes.
• Ensures proper formwork, tools, and equipment for self-perform work.
• Upholds JE Dunn policies on diversity, inclusion, and non-discrimination.
