Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector. The role focuses on design reviews of steel/concrete structures, foundations, and seismic considerations for substation projects.

Travel to client sites and collaboration with a senior design team are required. You will lead projects, review complex structural components, and guide junior staff, with licensure in CA/WA/OR preferred or obtainable within months.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in civil-structural eng with 5+ years in utilities
• PE license preferred in CA/WA/OR or ability to obtain within 3–12 months
• SE licensure preferred
• Experience with Word/Excel/PowerPoint and Mathcad; design software STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D, FAD, SAG10, LPile; familiar with AutoCAD and MicroStation

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews for civil/structural components for substation projects
• Develop junior staff and mentor team members
• Perform site visits and client meetings as needed
