Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks a Licensed Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector to lead design reviews for substation projects. You will supervise engineers and drafters, perform site visits, and travel to client meetings and industry events.

Strong background in steel, concrete, geotechnical design and foundation work is required, with licensure in CA/WA/OR or the ability to obtain it. Remote options exist for western region candidates.

Qualifications

PE License required in CA, WA or OR (within 3–12 months)
SE licensure preferred
Experience with Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD required
Experience with RISA 3-D, FAD, SAG10 and LPILE required
AutoCAD and MicroStation familiarity required
Strong analytical and technical writing skills; client communication is essential

Responsibilities

Lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects
Perform senior engineer duties, mentor junior staff
Conduct site visits to client facilities and travel for meetings
Ensure scope, schedule and budget compliance
Collaborate with engineers, designers and drafters on projects
