Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering and 5+ years of design experience. You will lead project design reviews and mentor junior staff, delivering bid/construction packages for substation projects.

Expertise in steel/concrete structures, foundations, seismic design, and familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation and analysis tools is preferred. Remote work option for CA/WA/OR residents.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 3+ years.
• PE license preferred in CA, WA, or OR; ability to obtain in 3–12 months.
• Experience with design/review of steel/concrete structures, geotechnical aspects, and foundations.
• Proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint and engineering analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects.
• Develop junior staff and manage project scope, schedule and budget.
• Perform design and review for structures and foundations under seismic loads.
• Coordinate with clients and staff; participate in site visits and travel as needed.
