Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in civil-structural design to lead projects, perform design reviews, and mentor junior staff. The role focuses on substations, steel and concrete structures, foundations, and seismic loading, delivering bid and construction packages for utility clients.

Remote work is supported with CA/WA/OR residency preferred; candidates should have a BS or MS in civil/structural engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Civil-Structural Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, or Masters (MS) with 3+ years of relevant experience
PE License Preferred in California, Washington, Oregon OR the ability to obtain licensure in these states within 3-12 months.
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD software, required
Experience with RISA 3D or/and STAAD.Pro, SAG10, FAD or/and LPile software, required
Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation required
Strong analytical and technical writing skills
Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff
