Leidos is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector to lead design reviews and mentor junior staff. You will support bid/construction packages for substation projects and perform site visits as needed.

The candidate will have a strong background in steel/concrete design, geotechnical engineering and foundations, and will work with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D and related tools under seismic loading considerations.

Formación

BS or MS in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience; or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience.
PE License is required; SE licensure is preferred.
Experience with design review of substation structures, rigid bus, foundations, oil containment, retaining walls, control shelters and fire-walls.
Experience with design and review for structures and foundations to industry codes under seismic loading.
Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint and MathCad; familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsabilidades

Lead projects as a senior engineer and conduct design reviews of civil/structural components.
Develop junior staff through mentorship and oversight.
Perform site visits to client substation facilities and participate in client meetings.
Ensure quality control, scope adherence, schedule, and budget constraints.
