Job summary

Leidos Energy & Engineering seeks a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility sector. You will lead design reviews for substation structures, oversee bid/construction package development, and mentor junior staff.

Strong background in steel/concrete design, foundations, and seismic loading is required. Ideal candidates have PE licensure and experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and LPile, with familiarity in AutoCAD/ MicroStation.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years.
• PE license required; SE licensure preferred.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D, FAD, SAG10, and LPile; familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews of substation civil/structural components.
• Perform design reviews and lead projects for bid/construction packages.
• Develop junior staff and oversee seismic design considerations; conduct site visits and occasional travel.
