Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years of utility-industry experience to lead design reviews, supervise project teams, and develop bid/construction packages. The role involves client coordination, site visits, and occasional travel to support project execution.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in steel and concrete structures, geotechnical elements, and foundations, with proficiency in common structural software and CAD tools.

Qualifications

BS in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years.
PE license required.
SE licensure preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD.
Experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D, FAD, SAG10 and LPile.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

Perform design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects.
Lead projects and mentor junior staff.
Support bid/construction package development.
Travel for client meetings and site visits.
