Job summary
Leidos is seeking a Substation Senior Structural Engineer with 5+ years in the utility industry to lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects, including steel and concrete structures, foundations, and fire-walls. This role will coordinate with clients and staff to develop bid/construction packages and may involve travel to client sites.
The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil-Structural Engineering (MS acceptable), a PE license, and hands-on experience with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil-Structural Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years
- PE License required
- SE licensure preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & MATHCAD
- Experience with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, RISA 3D, FAD, SAG10, and LPile
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff

- Lead design reviews of civil/structural components for substation projects
- Perform design reviews and develop junior staff
- Lead projects and coordinate with clients and internal teams
- Conduct site visits and occasional travel for meetings and events
