Job summary

Proteinea is seeking an experienced Secondary Systems Section Head to lead electrical design activities for HV/EHV substations. You will oversee protection, control, SCADA, and telecom aspects, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with IEC standards.

The role requires strong leadership, detailed engineering skills, and coordination with commissioning teams to deliver high-quality deliverables on schedule.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in substation protection, control, SCADA, and telecom engineering.
• Detailed design experience including schematics, wiring diagrams, control philosophies, and automation systems.
• Proven experience in protection schemes, logic diagrams, and control system architectures.
• Familiarity with IEC standards, IEC 61850, and utility specifications for protection and control.
• Experience in FAT/SAT support and coordination with commissioning teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication in multidisciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of secondary design function deliverables for HV/EHV substation projects.
• Manage section-level planning and distribution of tasks to meet schedules.
• Review technical specs, equipment data, and client requirements for compliant engineering outputs.
• Coordinate protection, control, SCADA, telecom, RTU, automation, and auxiliary systems activities.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, material requisitions, and vendor data reviews.
• Ensure interface coordination between design, procurement, site execution, primary design, and commissioning teams.
• Support resolution of technical issues during project execution, manufacturing, installation, testing, energization, and commissioning.
