Job summary

Proteinea is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead HV/EHV substation primary design activities. You will ensure designs, calculations, specifications, and submittals are accurate, compliant, and aligned with project needs.

You will guide a small engineering team, coordinate interfaces with GIS, transformers, breakers, CTs/VTs, and busbar systems, and ensure timely, quality outputs across design, procurement, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8–10+ years in HV/EHV substation primary design and engineering.
• Experience leading or coordinating a small engineering team.
• Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards and utility requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interface coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of primary design deliverables for HV/EHV substation projects.
• Plan section work, assign tasks, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Review specs, criteria, and client requirements for compliant outputs.
• Coordinate GIS, transformers, breakers, CTs, VTs, and busbar interfaces.
• Prepare technical submittals, vendor data reviews, and clarifications.
• Interface design with procurement, site, civil, and commissioning teams.
• Support issue resolution during engineering, manufacturing, and installation.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and project specs.
• Review design changes and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Participate in design reviews with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
