Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead protection and control efforts for substation rebuilds and asset replacements, including Digital Smart Substations. You will manage complex programs affecting grid reliability, capacity expansion, and performance, mentoring teams and guiding engineering decisions.

Required: 7+ years in engineering or 6+ with Masters or PE; BS in Engineering or PE license; experience with transmission and substation protection systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license required.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience (6+ with Masters or PE).
• Experience with transmission and substation projects preferred.
• Experience in protection systems and settings preferred.
• Experience with RTU, annunciator, metering, LTC control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments in specialized engineering areas with significant impact.
• Provides technical training, mentorship, and peer reviews.
• Reviews budget data and develops cost estimates for projects.
• Acts as expert witness or provide opinions as required.
• Maintains state-of-the-art engineering credentials and applies industry standards.
