Job summary

Exelon is seeking a senior protection and control engineer to lead and support engineering efforts for substation rebuilds, asset replacements, and digital smart substations. The role drives grid reliability, capacity expansion, and system performance in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor teams, review budgets, and provide expert consultation across business units. This position requires a PE license or equivalent, and excellence in electrical and mechanical analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience or 6+ with Masters or PE.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform assignments in specialized engineering areas requiring extensive expertise.
• Manage projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Develop commissioning plans and provide technical leadership across teams.
