Qualus seeks a Lead Protection & Control Engineer in its Substation Protection and Control department. The role oversees a team through proposal to as-built, requiring 7+ years in major utility substations and a PE license. The position may be based in multiple U.S. locations.

You will coordinate with engineering groups, develop complete protective relaying and SCADA design packages, and mentor engineers while delivering solutions to clients and executives.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE); MS in Engineering may substitute.
• 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in protection and control.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of protection & control engineers and technicians from proposal to as-built.
• Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other groups.
• Develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems.
• Develop SCADA packages, including Point Data Sheet inputs/outputs.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to staff.
• Build trusted relationships with senior engineers, managers, and clients.
• Present technical solutions to customers and respond to questions on-site or remotely.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are followed on all design packages.
