Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced Relay Engineer to design protection schemes for substations, including transformers, capacitor banks, buses, and transmission lines up to 765kV. The role includes leadership opportunities, database management, and participation in industry groups to drive project execution and continuous improvement.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Engineering or PE license, 7+ years of experience, and strong analysis of electrical/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE license.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of standards, codes, methods, and practices in relevant engineering areas.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience.
• PE license or advanced degree can reduce required OJT by up to 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments requiring extensive engineering expertise across complex projects.
• Mentors others and provides technical guidance across teams.
• Develops and implements projects with significant financial and operational impact.
• Participates in planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
• May lead multi-discipline teams and oversee contractors.
