Job summary

Baltimore Gas and Electric Company seeks a Sr. engineer to lead protection and control efforts for substation rebuilds, asset replacements, and Digital Smart Substations.

You will manage complex initiatives critical to grid reliability, capacity, and performance, collaborating across teams and external partners. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of engineering experience, a PE license or MS, and strong knowledge of transmission/substation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or PE license is required.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience (6+ with Masters or PE).
• Experience with transmission and substation projects preferred.
• Knowledge of RTU, annunciator, metering, capacitor control, and LTC systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform engineering tasks with extensive knowledge in protected areas.
• Develop plans, criteria, calculations and documentation for substation projects.
• Provide technical training, mentorship and peer reviews to team members.
• Support budget development, cost estimates and performance evaluations.
