Job summary

Pike Engineering in Florida seeks an experienced Substation Protection & Control Engineer to design, engineer, and oversee projects from concept to commissioning. You will lead P&C design for substations up to 500 kV, integrate SCADA communications, and provide technical direction to engineers and designers.

This role requires 5–7 years of practice, a PE or licensure path, and ABET/EAC-accredited education.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an ABET/EAC-accredited program or equivalent.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience with protection and control for substations and transmission lines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control design for substation projects.
• Manage scopes, budgets, and schedules for projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers on the team.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, construction teams, and clients.
• Support proposal development and project cost estimating.
• Visit sites and modify designs during construction to solve issues.
