Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Substation Protection and Control Engineer to lead a team of engineers and designers responsible for protection and control design for substations up to 500 kV, including SCADA interfaces and relay settings. You will oversee schedules and budgets, support proposals, and interact with clients on technical solutions.

The role requires PE licensure within one year and an ABET/EAC-accredited engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or the ability to be licensed within one year.
• Bachelor’s degree from an EAC/ABET accredited Engineering Program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for projects and manage schedules and budgets.
• Design protection schemes for substation and transmission equipment.
• Provide technical direction on complex engineering problems for projects including substations, BESS, and solar substations.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee designers/drafters.
