Job summary

Pike Engineering seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead protection and control design for substation projects, including 500 kV architectures. You will manage schedules, budgets, and mentor junior staff while interfacing with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities include designing protection schemes, SCADA design, and producing scopes, estimates, and reports. A PE license or near-term eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ABET/EAC) or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of practicing engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or eligible within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control design for substation projects.
• Read and engineer P&C designs for up to 500 kV.
• Create P&C project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
• Manage budgets and project timelines.
• Mentor junior staff and review designs for accuracy.
• Coordinate with disciplines, contractors and clients.
• Support proposal development and cost estimating.
• Visit sites to advise on engineering issues.
