E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Pasadena is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team to support one of the largest electric utility clients. You will coordinate design deliverables including general arrangement drawings, electrical equipment plan & elevation drawings, conduit & grounding drawings, relay house layout and bill of materials.

The role requires 8+ years in substation design, ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years in substation design or similar with utility/consulting firm.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and collaborate substation Physical Design and P&C activities including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.
• Provide guidance and collaborate activities to ensure the quality of work before it is presented to Lead Engineer for review.
• Ensure all designs conform to our client’s and industry standards.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with lead engineer and/or project manager.
• Utilize client and/or company information system to track and update design activities.
• Participate/lead job site meetings to gather scope of work.
• Participate/lead in answering Request for Information (RFI) during project construction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
