Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Physical Designer to join a project team of engineers and other designers focused on high and extra-high voltage substations. You will prepare drawings such as Substation General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Section Views, BOM, and grounding/conduit details.

The role requires 10 years of substation physical design experience, an Associate’s Degree in Drafting (or equivalent), and proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation; 3D visualization

Qualificações

• Minimum of 10 years of substation physical design experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or high school diploma with 2+ years drafting coursework or equivalent.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare Substation General Arrangement drawings.
• Prepare Substation Electrical Equipment Plans.
• Prepare Substation Section Views (Elevations).
• Prepare Substation Detailed Bill of Material.
• Prepare Substation Lightning Stroke Shielding Plan.
• Prepare Substation Grounding Plan.
• Prepare Substation Conduit, Electrical Connection and Grounding Details.
• Prepare Substation Below Grade Conduit/Raceway Plan.
• Prepare Control Building Equipment, Cable Tray, Lighting, Grounding Plans and Section.
• Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables.
• Performing walkdowns at client facilities.
• Applying Client's standards related to the work.
