Job summary

Sargent Lundy seeks a Substation Physical Designer to join a project team focused on high and extra high voltage substation design. You will prepare General Arrangement, Electrical Equipment Plans, Grounding, Conduit and related drawings, collaborating with engineers and other designers across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities include interpreting vendor information, conducting client facility walkdowns, and applying client standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of substation physical design experience.
• An Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or a high school diploma with 2+ years drafting coursework or equivalent technical experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and incorporating vendor information into design deliverables.
• Performing walkdowns at client facilities.
• Applying Client's standards related to the work.
