Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Substation Physical Designer in a hybrid schedule (three days in the office, two days remote). You will work with engineers and other designers on high and extra high voltage substations, delivering General Arrangement drawings, equipment plans, section views, BOMs, shielding, grounding, and conduit details.

We require 12+ years in substation physical design, an Associate’s Degree in Drafting or equivalent, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Twelve years of substation physical design experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting, or a high school diploma with drafting coursework or equivalent.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Substation General Arrangement drawings.
• Prepare Substation Electrical Equipment Plans.
• Prepare Substation Section Views and Grounding Plans.
• Create Substation Detailed BOM and Conduit/grounding details.
