Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Senior Estimator with deep substation experience to lead the development of self-perform construction estimates across the full voltage range, including 500 kV and 765 kV transmission programs.

This role owns the estimate from document review through bid-day submission, coordinating with the VP of Estimating & Pre-Construction and the Chief Estimator.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience in substation, switchyard, or high-voltage electrical construction.
• Demonstrated command of substation construction means and methods.
• Proven lead estimator on competitively bid substation projects of $20M+.
• Proficiency with estimating platforms (HCSS HeavyBid, Accubid, B2W) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete substation estimates for new stations, expansions, retrofits, and emergency restorations across civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from diagrams and designs; develop quantities from preliminary engineering.
• Develop production rates and means-and-methods; document in the estimate basis.
