Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group in Overland Park, Kansas, is seeking a Senior Estimator with deep substation experience to lead the development of self-perform construction estimates. This role owns the estimate from document review through bid-day submission and collaborates with the VP of Estimating & Pre-Construction to win work at margins we can deliver.

Based in Overland Park, Kansas, you will own the estimate from document review through bid day, develop quantities, rates, and basis,

Qualifications

• 8+ years estimating experience in substation/high-voltage construction.
• Experience leading estimates for projects $20M or greater.
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams and design packages.
• Travel up to 25% for site visits and bid reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete substation estimates across civil, structural, and electrical scopes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from diagrams and drawings; refine from bid documents.
• Develop production rates and means-and-methods with operations.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing; manage equipment scope.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings; reflect constraints in the estimate.
• Present estimates at bid reviews and defend the build-up.
