Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Senior Estimator with deep substation experience to lead self-perform construction estimates across the full voltage range, including 500 kV and 765 kV programs. This role owns the estimate from document review to bid-day submission and reports to the VP, Estimating & Pre-Construction.

You will work with Chief Estimator and operations leaders to produce margins that win work, mentor estimators, and ensure robust estimate basis and risk

Qualificações

• 8+ years estimating experience in substation, switchyard, or high-voltage electrical construction.
• Lead estimator on competitively bid substation projects of $20M+.
• Proficient with estimating platforms (HCSS HeavyBid, Accubid, B2W) and advanced Excel.
• Willing to travel approximately 25%.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complete substation estimates—civil, structural, electrical; include foundations, raceways, bus, switchgear, and related work.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from one-line diagrams and designs; develop quantities from engineering as needed.
• Develop production rates and means-and-methods; document assumptions in the estimate basis.
• Coordinate subcontractor pricing and major equipment scope; manage schedule and risk.
• Attend site visits, bid meetings, and defend the technical build-up in reviews.
• Mentor junior estimators and ensure proper estimate documentation.
