Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks a Senior Estimator with deep substation experience to lead self-perform construction estimates across the full voltage range. You will manage quantities, production rates, means and methods, and the estimate basis from document review to bid submission, reporting to the Vice President of Estimating & Pre-Construction.

Formación

• 8+ years of estimating experience in substation, switchyard, or high-voltage electrical construction with a self-perform contractor or EPC.
• Demonstrated command of substation construction means and methods across civil, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Proven track record as lead estimator on competitively bid substation projects of $20M or greater.
• Willingness to travel (approx. 25%).

Responsabilidades

• Lead complete substation estimates for greenfield stations, expansions, retrofits, and restoration.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from diagrams and designs; develop quantities from incomplete bid designs.
• Build labor, equipment, and crew-based production rates rooted in field performance.
• Solicit, level, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing; coordinate major equipment scope.
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings; assess site conditions and reflect them in the estimate.
• Develop and maintain the estimate risk register; support pricing strategy and risk posture.
• Present the estimate at bid reviews and defend the technical build-up; support client clarifications.
• Lead turnover of estimate to project team; capture feedback for cost database.
• Mentor estimators on takeoff, pricing discipline, and documentation standards.
