Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Estimator with deep substation experience to lead development of self-perform construction estimates for substation projects across the full voltage range. You will own the estimate from document review through bid-day submission, including quantities, production rates, means and methods, pricing, and the basis behind the numbers.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years estimating experience in substation, switchyard, or high-voltage electrical construction.
• Lead estimator on competitively bid substation projects of $20M+.
• Proficient with estimating platforms (HCSS HeavyBid, Accubid, B2W) and advanced Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret one-lines, three-lines, and civil/structural design packages.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Aufgaben

• Lead complete substation estimates for greenfield, expansions, retrofits, and restoration projects.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from diagrams, arrangements, and schedules.
• Develop production rates and means-and-methods with operations.
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing; manage equipment scope.
• Attend site visits and bid reviews; reflect site conditions in the estimate.
• Maintain the estimate risk register; support pricing strategy with leadership.
• Present the estimate at bid reviews and defend the build-up.
• Lead turnover of estimates to project teams and capture feedback.
