Bartlett & West, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager I - Substation Engineering to lead a profitable Power Delivery engineering practice. The role emphasizes engineering excellence, client development and high-level staff leadership across multiple geographic locations.

The successful candidate will guide project opportunities, manage teams, and collaborate with market leaders to grow the business while maintaining rigorous engineering standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in design, staff management and business development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead teams.
• Travel up to 10-15% within geographic locations.

Responsibilities

• Positioning and Client Development (40%): Develop a business plan, generate opportunities, meet clients and assess go/no-go criteria.
• Staff recruitment and management (10%): Identify, recruit, hire and retain top talent; manage local staff delivering engineering deliverables.
• Project oversight and management (20%): Manage scope, schedule, fees, QA/QC, revenue, invoicing and close-out; monthly financial analysis.
• Client Relationship management (10%): Track and maintain client records, develop relationships, participate in client events.
• Mentoring/Coaching & Other Responsibilities (10%): Develops and deepens working relationships with project managers and senior management.
