Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant to lead project teams designing, modifying, and analyzing high voltage substations. You will coordinate with engineers, estimators, and scheduling professionals to deliver complex EPC and related projects.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 10+ years in design/management of HV projects, and strong client communication. A hybrid work arrangement is offered with relocation potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years in design engineering and/or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owners Engineer, Traditional or Joint Ventures is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; proposal writing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers.
• Coordinate design phases and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Manage relationships with civil, structural, and transmission teams.
• Deliver high-quality, on-time, on-budget project results; identify scope changes.
• Mentor team members and support business development with clients.
