Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services (trading as PWR), seeks a Supervising Substation Engineer in Dallas, TX to oversee design teams, ensure quality, schedule, and profitability on multiple substation projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a PE license, extensive HV substation experience (138 kV+), and knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI. The Dallas office is at 1301 Solana Blvd, Bldg 2, Suite 2500 Westlake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain a license in another state within one year after hire.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the electrical power industry with extensive substation design experience.
• Experience leading design teams that include engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and profitability objectives.
• Supervise multiple project teams to ensure on-time completion of projects.
• Coordinate engineering with construction and purchasing to meet milestones.
• Apply project-specific standards and use engineering software to complete tasks.
• Prepare and track project schedules and budgets.
• Travel to project sites as required and maintain safety practices.
