Job summary

Dashiell, part of Quanta Services, seeks an experienced Supervising Substation Engineer in Dallas, TX. You will lead engineering teams, ensure project profitability and schedules, and coordinate with construction and procurement to meet milestones.

The role requires in-depth substation design knowledge and leadership across multiple projects. Based in our Dallas office, you will mentor project teams, apply standard engineering practices, and ensure safe, compliant project delivery across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); if registered in a state other than where the engineer will practice, must obtain license within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in the electrical power industry, with extensive knowledge in substation engineering and design.
• Experience managing design teams with multi-discipline engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage project quality, schedule, and profitability across multiple substation projects.
• Supervise several project teams to ensure on-time completion of projects.
• Assign projects based on requirements, schedule, and personnel availability.
• Coordinate engineering with construction and purchasing to meet milestones and budgets.
• Apply engineering software to ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and short-circuit/load-flow studies.
• Lead in a team environment and communicate goals effectively.
