Job summary

Dashiell Corporation, a Quanta Services unit, seeks a Supervising Substation Engineer in Lake Charles, LA to lead engineering teams responsible for profitable, high‑quality projects. The role requires broad substation expertise, strong leadership, and coordination with construction and procurement for timely delivery.

The position reports to the VP of Engineering and will require travel to project sites as needed. A PE license and 15+ years in electrical power are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE licensure required; must obtain license if not in-state.
• Minimum 15 years in electrical power, with substations experience.
• Experience supervising multi-discipline design teams.
• Strong knowledge of HV substations (138 kV+).
• Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability, quality, and schedule for engineering teams.
• Coordinate design across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Assign projects to teams based on requirements and availability.
• Collaborate with construction and procurement to meet milestones.
• Ensure adherence to project standards and documentation controls.
• Mentor and lead engineers to improve capabilities.
