Job summary
Dashiell an operating unit of Quanta Services, Dallas, TX seeks a Supervising Substation Engineer to lead engineering teams, oversee design and ensure profitability, quality and schedule targets across multiple substation projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and a PE license, with 15+ years in electrical power and substation design.
Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI standards and engineering software is essential; travel for projects is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); must obtain license within one year if not in practice state.
- Minimum of 15 years in electrical power with substation design experience.
- Experience supervising design teams and coordinating with construction and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and profitability targets.
- Supervise multiple project teams to ensure on-time completion.
- Assign projects to engineering teams based on requirements and availability.
- Coordinate with construction and purchasing to meet milestones.
- Ensure design efforts follow NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Travel occasionally for project needs.
