Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Substation Engineer to join the New Albany, Ohio team in a fully remote role. The engineer will lead substation projects, develop scopes and diagrams, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with industry codes and client standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating with in-house and client teams, traveling to sites as needed, and guiding others to meet project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution will count toward years of experience
• A PE License is required

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, one-line diagrams, and estimates for substation projects
• Review substation construction drawings and verify compliance with codes and standards
• Engineer and design lightning protection, grounding, and equipment replacement and repair for substations
• Lead, coordinate, and review work activities of others to complete substation projects
• Provide training and guidance to lower-level engineers
• Interpret codes and regulations and develop standards for construction projects
