Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Sr Transmission Line Engineer to lead engineering for transmission line projects in a fully remote capacity, based out of New Albany, OH. The role requires PE licensure and a strong background in 69–765 kV designs, with mentoring responsibilities for junior engineers.

You will collaborate with internal and client teams, oversee a small department, and coordinate with regulators. Expect travel for site visits and a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (ABET).
• Masters Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (ABET) will count toward years of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for engineering and design activities related to Transmission Line Engineering including analysis, design, route selection, material acquisition, and project management.
• Prepare project construction documents such as plan and profile drawings, design drawings, specifications, schedules and bills of material.
• Develop project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates.
• Design new transmission line facilities with voltages ranging 69 kV to 765 kV.
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects.
• Attend contractor bid and construction meetings and ensure work is performed safely and per plans and schedules.
