Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to join our Clayton, MO team. The role emphasizes detailed electrical design for high voltage substations and project management within a collaborative team. Hybrid work is offered, with three days in the office and two remote days.

Candidates should have strong MV system design experience, BS in engineering, and excellent communication. A relocation package may be available depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget/time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
• Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports that present technical and project information clearly and meet client requirements and S&L formats.
• Develop your career via peer-learning through Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
